To manage the file download page, this Magento 2 file upload extension lets you add, edit or remove categories on a single grid to classify files in the most relevant section. These categories will then appear as organized files on the “File Download” page.

Category / Sub Categories

You can create independent categories for grouping files, whereas sub-categories can also be created under the parent group.

There are 3 easy methods you can upload and attach files:

1) Manage Files (Standard Method):

Upload new files and attach them to specific products and CMS pages. Customizable options allow you to restrict products by store views and customer groups and assign category to display product on File download page.

2) Upload from Product & CMS Grid (Quick Method)

With Quick method, you can drag & drop to upload files from Product and CMS grid view. Once you’ve added files, they will be visible to all customer groups by default.

3) Upload from Product & CMS Page (Basic Method)

This is the standard method in which you can upload files and restrict their access to specific customer groups from product edit sheet.
 

You can predefine file types and their icons from the backend. When you upload a specific file type, its corresponding icon appears with the file on the frontend. This not only makes the attachment look good but also informs the customers what file type they are about to download.

You can also add links and videos as attachments and display them on product & CMS pages.

Adding relevant links increases the credibility of your pages and makes them more informative.

You can restrict each file by specific customer group and store view to prevent sharing information to irrelevant customers. Each file can be restricted to registered, VIP, retail and any other customer groups.

With this Magento 2 Product Attachments extension, you can set a download limit for each file to prevent excessive downloads on your store. Display the file size and enable a counter that records each download and displays it on front end.
