User Guide of Magento 2 GeoIP Ultimate Lock Extension

General Configurations

At the backend, go to FME EXTENSIONS > Configurations. Here you can find the extension configurations.

Enable in Frontend: Select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ to Enable or Disable the module
Blocked IP Message: Enter a message for the visitors having blocked IP(s)

How to Import Countries List?

At the back end, go to FME EXTENSIONS > Import Countries List. Here you will find all the information regarding importing country lists. Click on the “Import Database” button to import the countries list.

Download the file GeoIPCountryCSV.zip (file size: 2.1M approx.) and extract it to the /pub/media/geoipultimatelock folder inside Magento.

Make sure that the file is named as GeoIPCountryWhois.csv and 777 rights are given to the media folder. Importing will erase the previous import record and a new record will be imported. This operation will take time to complete.

How to Manage GeoIP Rules?

At the back end, go to FME EXTENSIONS > Manage Rules. Here you will find all the information about the blocked stores/rules in a grid. You can Edit any one or click on the Add New button to add a new rule to control incoming traffic on your website.

NOTE: Please Import countries list before adding New rules otherwise country tab will be empty.

Title: Enter a title for the rule
Priority: Specify the priority of the rule
Store View: Select the store views on which you want to apply the rule
CMS Page: Select the CMS pages on which you want to apply the rule
Status: Option to Enable or Disable the rule
Exceptions: Add IP addresses to allow specific users to access your website from blocked regions or countries. State IPs (comma separated only) for the exception.
Error URL Redirect: You can also redirect the visitor to a URL. This will have priority over the ‘Error Message’. You can add multiple redirection URLs for different regions.
Error Message: Enter a custom error message for blocked users
