User Guide of Magento 2 Shop by Brand Extension
General Configurations
At the backend, go to FME EXTENSIONS > Configurations. Here you can find the extension configurations.
- Enable Module: Select Yes or No to enable or disable the extension, respectively. If the extension is disabled, its functionality will not be available, and users cannot view or manage the brand features in the backend. Visitors will also be redirected to the store’s main page.
- Brand Title: Enter the title that will be used for the main brand listing page. This is displayed as the heading for the brand collection.
- Featured Title: Specify the title for the featured brands section. This will appear above the featured brand slider or list on the storefront.
- Home Page Featured Brand: Choose whether to display featured brands on the homepage.
- Number of Brands on Home Page: Set the number of featured brands to display on the homepage. Enter 0 to list all featured brands.
Attribute Settings:
- This attribute code will be used for the brand listing. (The attribute type must be set to Dropdown.)
Brand Listing Page:
This section allows you to customize the brand listing page. You have the following options to configure.
- Featured Brand: Select whether to display the featured brands section on the brand listing page. This section highlights specific brands chosen by the admin.
- Show Search: Enable or disable the search bar on the brand listing page, allowing customers to search for specific brands.
- Alphabetical Search: Enable or disable alphabetical search functionality, allowing customers to filter brands by selecting a specific letter.
- Alphabetical Listing: Choose whether to organize and display brands in alphabetical order on the brand listing page.
- Show Number of Products: Enable or disable the display of the number of products associated with each brand on the brand listing page.
- Featured Title: Specify the title for the featured brands section. This will appear as the heading for the section on the brand listing page.
- Number of Brands on Listing Page: Set the number of brands to display per page on the brand listing page. Pagination will be applied if the number exceeds this limit.
Brand Detail Page
This section allows you to customize the brand listing page. You have the following options to configure.
- Featured Brand: Select whether to display the featured brands slider on the brand detail page.
- Featured Title: Specify the title for the page
- Number of Brand on Home Page: Set the number of brands to display per page on the brand detail page.
Manage Footer Links
- Enable Footer Link: Select whether to add footer link for the brands
- Footer Link Label: Specify the title for the footer link
Search Engine Optimization:
This section allows you to optimize the brand listing page for search engines. You have the following options to configure.
- Brand Identifier: Define the unique identifier for the brand listing page, which will be used in the URL (e.g., brands for yourstore.com/brands).
- URL Suffix: Specify the suffix for the brand listing page URL (e.g., .html). This is optional and depends on your store's SEO preferences.
- META Keywords: Enter relevant keywords that describe the content of the brand listing page. These help improve the page's visibility in search engine results.
- META Description: Provide a brief and compelling description of the brand listing page to improve click-through rates in search engine results.
How to Add Brands?
At the backend, navigate to Manage Brands by going to FME EXTENSIONS > Manage Brands. Here, you will find a list of all your brands. You can edit any existing brand or add a new one to proceed.
