User Guide of Magento 2 Product Attachments Extension

General Configurations

At the backend, go to FME EXTENSIONS > Configurations. Here you can find the extension configurations.

Product Attachment Settings

Enable Footer Link (Quick Links): Enable or disable the footer links for the extension.
Show Downloads Counter: Enable or disable the downloads counter. You can set download limits to prevent excessive load on your website. Additionally, a counter can track the number of downloads for each file.
Front Name: Enter a unique name to display on the front (Hint: Make sure the Front Name is unique).
Login Before Download: Enable or disable the login requirement before downloading a file. (Note: Users must be logged in before they can download any file.)
List Page Layout: Select the layout for the list page. Attachments Sort Order: Specify the sort order of attachments.
Front Description: Set the description to display on the front for the extension.

Product Detail Page Settings

This section allows you to customize the attachments on the products page. You have the following options to configure.

Enable Product Attachments: Enable or disable the extension.
Open PDF in New Tab: Allow PDF files to open in a new tab or the same tab.
Product Attachments Heading: Set the heading for the Product Attachments page.
Product Attachments Tab Title: Set the title for the Product Attachments tab.
Show Content with Attachments: Select "Yes" or "No" to show or hide content along with attachments.
Show Attachments Under Add to Cart: Select "Yes" or "No" to show or hide the attachments below the Add to Cart button.
Show Attachments in Footer: Select "Yes" or "No" to show or hide the attachments in the footer.

CMS Page Settings

This section allows you to customize the attachments on CMS page.

Enable CMS Attachments: Enable or disable CMS page attachments.
Open PDF in New Tab: Allow PDF files to open in a new tab or the same tab.
CMS Page Attachments Heading: Set the heading for the CMS Attachments page.
Show Content with Attachments: Enable or disable the display of content along with attachments.

How to Add Attachments?

At the backend go to FME EXTENSIONS > Manage Attachments. Here you will find all the attachments for the extension added by the admin or the users from the front end. You can Edit/Delete/Download any attachment or click on Add New File to proceed.

Provide the following information.

Select Category: Choose a category for the attachment. Categories can be created in the step below. The available categories are:
- Word Documents
- User Guides
- PDF Files
- Compressed Files
- Zip Files
- Media Files
- Excel Sheets
- Infographics, etc.

Title: Provide a name for the attachment. Browse File: Upload the attachment here.

(Note: Your server's PHP maximum upload size must be greater than the file size.)

Store View: Choose the store view where this attachment will be displayed.
Enable: Enable or disable the attachment.
Customer Group: Choose the customer groups that will be able to access this attachment.

Limit Downloads: Enter the number of downloads for this attachment. If empty then the unlimited download will be enabled
URL: Provide a URL which will appear with the attachment
Link Title: Title for the link
Video: Add Video URL
Video Title: Title for the video
Content: Provide details about the attachment

Attach with Products

Choose the products with which you want to display the attachments.

Attach with CMS

Choose the products pages on which you want to display the attachments.

How to Add File Extensions?

At the backend go to FME EXTENSIONS > Manage File Extensions. Here you will find all the file extensions. You can Edit/Delete any extension or click on Add New File to proceed.

Provide the following information:

Type: Provide the file type name
Image: Upload image for extension
Status: Enable/Disable file extension

How to Add Categories?

At the backend go to FME EXTENSIONS > Manage Categories. Here you will find all the categories for the attachments. You can Edit/Delete any category or click on Add New Category to proceed.

Provide the following information:

Title: Provide the name of the category.
Image: Upload an image for the category.

(Note: Upload image files only: JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG.)

Parent Category: Option to set the category as a root category.
Store View: Select the store views where the category will be displayed.
Visible on Frontend: Make the category visible on the frontend.
Visible on Product Page: Make the category visible on the product page.
Status: Enable or disable the category

How to Import Attachments?

At the backend go to FME EXTENSIONS > Import Attachments. Here you will have the option to import all the attachments by clicking on Import as shown below.
