User Guide of Magento 2 Preselect Configurable Product

At the backend, go to FME EXTENSIONS > Configurations. Here you can find the extension configurations.

Configurations

  • Module Enable: Select 'Yes' or 'No' to enable or disable the module. enable.png

Choose Option of Your Choice: Choose any of the PreSelection options according to your requirements.

  • First Option PreSelect - PreSelect the 1st option or 1st combination
  • Default Option PreSelect - Preselect the default combination
  • Cheapest Option PreSelect - Preselect the cheapest combination
  • Most Expensive Option PreSelect - Preselect the most expensive combination

Note: If the preselected option does not exist—such as when 'Most Expensive Option' is configured for preselection but all combinations have the same price—then the last combination will be preselected. The same applies to the 'Cheapest Option' scenario.

PreSelect on Category Page: PreSelect Configurable Product extension gives you the option to enable/disable the PreSelection on category page.

Note: If set to 'Yes,' preselection will be applied to the swatch attributes on the category page. The loaded product image on the category page may or may not correspond to the preselected swatch attributes.

PreSelect Default Option Configurations This extension is equipped with the feature to PreSelect the Default Option as well. In order to set/change the default combination of a configurable product you need to open the desired Configurable Product Edit Page.

Click Configurations Tab and Select any of the Default Option in the Grid.

Save the Product.

Also, don’t forget to set the Configurations as well.

In admin Panel, Click FME EXTENSIONS > Configurations > Choose Option of Your Choice > Select Default Option PreSelect from the dropdown

  • Save Configurations.
  • Refresh Cache.
