User Guide of Magento 2 Newsletter Popup Extension

General Configurations

At the backend, go to FME EXTENSIONS > Configurations. Here you can find the extension configurations.

  • Enable Module: Select ‘Yes’ to enable the extension.

How to Add Newsletter Popup?

At the back end, go to FME Extensions > Manage Popup. Here you will find all the previously created newsletter popups in a grid. You can Edit any one or click on the Add New Popup button to proceed.

Here you will have to provide the following information:

General From

  • Popup Enable: Option to Enable or Disable the popup on the frontend
  • Popup Name: Enter a name/title for the popup

Popup General Information

  • Store View: Choose the store views on which you want to enable the popup

  • Trigger Popup on Event: Option to set a trigger event for displaying the popup. This gives an option to the admin to fire the popup on page load. In this case, X is the number of seconds that the user will enter in the text field.

    • Once the Page is Loaded
    • X Seconds After the Page is Loaded
    • Once the Page is Scrolled By X%
    • Once Cursor is Moved Outside the Page
  • X value in Event: Enter the time here (in seconds) for the popup to appear

  • Popup Effects: Choose from the following popup effects:

    • Fade Zoom
    • Fade Slide
    • Newspaper
    • Horizontal Move
    • Move From Top
    • 3D Unfold
    • Zoom Out
  • Cookie Lifetime (Seconds): Enter the number of seconds e.g. 120 for 2 minutes, after which the popup should re-appear.

  • Position: Choose the popup position on the screen:

    • Top Left
    • Top Center
    • Top Right
    • Middle Left
    • Middle Center
    • Middle Right
    • Bottom Left Bottom Center
    • Bottom Right

Show on CMS Pages

  • Pages: Select the CMS pages on which you want to display the popup

Show on Checkout Page

  • Checkout: Option to Show or Hide the popup on the checkout page
  • Shopping Cart: Option to Show or Hide the popup on the shopping cart page

Conditions

Conditions for the visibility of the pop-up on the front-end. Conditions (don't add conditions if the rule is applied to all products). These conditions can be used to limit the appearance of popup on product pages and category pages. If you select the categories from the product attribute conditions in the admin, then the popup will appear in a particular category. Similarly, if you select product attributes from the admin and if the attributes match with the product on the product page, the popup will appear on the product page.

Sign up Form Settings

  • Form Fields: Select any one form field. If you selected the option “Register Customer Account & Signup for Newsletter” or “Register Customer Account with Address & Signup for Newsletter” from the dropdown menu, these form fields will appear on your popup newsletter form where the customer can enter the values for the address fields. Moreover, from the top of form fields, you can pre-assign a customer group for those who would register only for the email newsletter popup. This feature is given in the form of a dropdown which is appended to the top of form fields (Note: The highlighted fields cannot be unselected)

Template Settings

  • Popup Design: In template settings, select the template from the given 20 editable templates from the dropdown menu, then click on the Load Template button to load your desired template. Here you can change the text, numbers, headings etc. Once done you can preview your template in the browser. Now, save the newsletter popup and display it on the frontend.
