User Guide of Magento 2 Cache Warmer Extension
General Configurations
At the backend, go to FME EXTENSIONS > Configurations. Here you can find the extension configurations.
- Enable Cache Warmer: Select ‘Yes’ to enable the extension.
- Payload: Select the percentage of pages that you want to send to the queue to be cached.
- Queue Schedule: Schedule a time to auto generate queue
- Warm Schedule: Schedule a time to automatically warm cache
- Refresh Status: Schedule a time to automatically change cache status
Queue Configuration
Under the Queue Configuration section, you can see the following options.
- Select Queue Type: You can generate Queue to be cached from two sources: Collection and Sitemap. Collection means the queue will be generated from all the products, categories, and CMS pages in the store. If you select ‘Collection’, the following options appear.
- Ignored Product Types: Select the type of products you want to exclude from the caching process.
- Ignored Visibility Types: Select the type of visibility you want to exclude from being cached.
- Add URLs: Enter custom URLs you want to add to the queue
- URL Priority: Set cache priority for different pages. 1 is the highest and 0 is the lowest priority.
If you select Sitemap in the Queue Type field, the following options appear which allows you to upload a sitemap. You can create a sitemap by going to Marketing -> SEO & Search -> Sitemap.
Warmer Configuration
Under the Warmer Configuration section, you see the following option.
- Ignored Page Types: Select the page types you want to ignore from being warmed.
Cache Warmer Pages
Click on FME Extensions -> Cache Warmer Pages
This section allows you to view, generate and warm store pages.
When you click Warm Queue, the specified percentage of pages will be cached as shown below.
